Celebrating Women in Medicine Month

Welcome to Women in Medicine Month 2023!
Women in Medicine Month (WIMM) is a celebration of women in medicine and a catalyst for our collective work towards equity. WIMM was originated by the American Medical Association as a way to celebrate the accomplishments of women in medicine and to spotlight advocacy for women physicians.
The Department of Medicine supports all women —cisgender and transgender alike—and we are inspired by them. As part of Inclusion 2023 and the theme of Belonging, we’re featuring speakers and events all month to honor, celebrate, and learn. You will also see “takeovers” of our DoM weekly newsletter, themed Zoom backgrounds, and highlights of recent DoM stories featuring women all month long on our social media feeds.
I look forward to celebrating with you!
